About
Hi! My name is Dan Alban. I have been a student minister for the past 13 years in every capacity (volunteer, part time, bi vocational and full time).
I was born in the suburbs of Philadelphia to Don and Joanne Alban. My dad has been in ministry since before I was born. We were raised in a strong Christian home.
I came to know Christ as my Savior at age 5. It was Easter Sunday and my family was attending church at Victory Baptist Church in Bristol, TN.
As I entered my teens, I went through a period of spiritual apathy. I had lost my focus on what it meant to be a follower of Christ. It was at Word Of Life Bible Institute where God shook my world and got my attention. After reading through Romans, I refocused my life to follow Christ. It was also there that I heard God calling me into ministry.
April 20, 1999 was the day that God showed me his desire for me to enter student ministry. The Columbine school shooting had a tremendous impact on my life. The testimonies of both Rachel Scott and Cassie Bernall lit a fire in my soul.
Since then, I have served at Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church, Graterford Bible Fellowship Church, Hope Community Church in Willow Grove, PA, and Oak Ridge Baptist Church. I am currently serving at Perry Hall Baptist Church in Baltimore.
They say if you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life. I haven't worked for 13 years! Student Ministry is my passion!
